Overview

Ludiqo ("we", "us") operates ludiqo.app. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use our platform to find gaming teammates.

Data we collect

  • Email address (for authentication)
  • Profile information (username, games, platforms, availability)
  • Profile view analytics (only if you accept optional analytics — see below)
  • Messages and squad interactions

How we use your data

We use your data to match you with compatible teammates, enable messaging and squads, improve the platform, and send service-related notifications.

Optional analytics & cookies

Optional analytics are off by default. They run only if you choose Accept in our analytics banner or preferences panel. Choosing Decline keeps optional analytics off.

If you accept, we use PostHog for general platform usage analytics, Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate traffic reporting, and Vercel Speed Insights for real-user performance metrics. We also count public profile page opens so profile owners can see aggregate statistics in their private Profile insights area. Authentication session cookies are strictly necessary to provide your account and are not controlled by this optional analytics choice.

Vercel Web Analytics is designed without third-party cookies and reports aggregated, privacy-oriented page-view data. Ludiqo only activates Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights after you accept optional analytics. Before events are sent, Ludiqo removes query strings and URL fragments and redacts or excludes routes that could contain tokens, recovery links, usernames, or other identifiers (for example password reset URLs and dynamic profile or message paths).

You can change your choice at any time using in the site footer (equally easy whether enabling or withdrawing consent). Withdrawing consent stops future optional analytics (including Vercel Web Analytics, Vercel Speed Insights, and PostHog), removes the profile-view browser identifier (ludiqo_pv_sid), and opts out of PostHog capture.

Profile view analytics

When optional analytics are enabled and someone opens a public Ludiqo profile in a browser, we record a profile view event so the profile owner can see aggregate statistics in their private Profile insights area. This is not a public "who viewed me" feature — other members cannot see individual viewer identities.

  • Purpose: provide profile owners with aggregate view counts and trends; support site-wide aggregate administrator reporting.
  • Data categories: profile owner account ID; viewer account ID when signed in; random browser identifier (ludiqo_pv_sid) in local storage when signed out and analytics are accepted; source label (e.g. public profile); UTC date and timestamp of the view.
  • Lawful basis: your consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR) for optional profile-view analytics, including profile view counting and related browser storage.
  • Withdrawing consent: members and visitors can withdraw analytics consent at any time through (Cookie preferences) in the site footer. Withdrawal removes ludiqo_pv_sid from your browser, stops future profile-view tracking, and does not affect processing that lawfully occurred before withdrawal.
  • We count genuine profile page opens after the page loads in a browser. Your own visits to your profile are not counted.
  • We count at most one view per visitor identity per profile per UTC calendar day, so refreshing the page repeatedly within that period does not increase the count.
  • Signed-in visitors are identified using their Ludiqo account. Signed-out visitors may be identified using a random identifier stored in browser local storage only after analytics consent. For abuse prevention, our servers may briefly process IP or network information when you request a profile page (for example to apply rate limits). This information is handled transiently and is not stored in profile_view_events. We do not use invasive device fingerprints for this feature.
  • Profile owners see aggregate totals and trends only (retention-limited figures show the last 90 days). Ludiqo administrators can access site-wide aggregate statistics (for example profile views and top profiles by count within the last 90 days); they do not receive a member-facing list of who viewed a particular profile.
  • "Unique visitors" are estimated using privacy-preserving identifiers and may not correspond exactly to individual people.
  • Raw profile view events are retained for 90 days, then automatically deleted under our retention rule. This period covers the longest analytics windows shown in the product (up to 60-day period comparisons and 30-day daily trends) with operational headroom. Totals and unique-visitor figures reflect events within the retained period. Existing profile-view events may also be deleted sooner where the applicable profile or account deletion behaviour removes or anonymises them (for example when a profile is deleted, or when a signed-in viewer deletes their account and their viewer identity on past events is anonymised while aggregate counts remain).

Data retention & deletion

We retain your account data while your account is active. Signed-in users can delete their account from Settings, which removes your profile and associated data from our systems. Optional analytics raw events are subject to the 90-day retention described above.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To withdraw optional analytics consent, use in the footer. Contact us at accounts@ludiqo.co.uk.
